A question that comes up frequently is what folder to use in a Standard User installation.  You want a folder than you can install to, and can continue to write to after the initial installation.  You also want a folder that will work on all versions of Windows.

My favorite folder to use in a Standard User installation is AppDataFolder.  It works on all versions of Windows, although AppDataFolder will be a different value (location) depending on which version you are on.  Yes, you can write to it after the initial installation.

AppDataFolder satisfies our requirements.
